Anxiety Therapy Indiana, PA
Services Offered
Anxiety Therapy
Anxiety shows up in many forms - racing thoughts, tension, overthinking, or constant “what ifs.”
If your mind feels like it’s always running, you’re not alone. Anxiety can make even simple decisions feel heavy. In our sessions, we’ll slow things down, understand what’s behind the stress, and build real-life tools that make day-to-day life feel lighter and more manageable.
Therapy for Confidence and Self-Understanding
If you struggle with self-doubt, people-pleasing, or not knowing who you are anymore, you’re not alone. Therapy can help you sort through the noise, understand where these patterns come from, and learn to show up in your life with more confidence, clarity, and self-compassion.
Depression Therapy
If getting through the day feels like a struggle, you’re not alone.
Depression can dull your joy and drain your energy, even when nothing seems “wrong.” Together, we’ll make sense of what you’re feeling, lighten the emotional load, and build tools the help you move forward with more ease and clarity.
Welcome!
I'm April Bowers — a therapist who believes growth happens through understanding, compassion and presence.
My work is grounded in mindfulness, helping you tune into what’s happening beneath the surface instead of just reacting to it. I support clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-doubt or growing pains that come with life changes.
My mission is to provide a safe and empathetic space where you can explore your challenges, discover your strengths, and achieve lasting positive change. Let's work together to nurture your mental health and unlock your potential.

I offer a free 15-minute call so you can ask questions, learn more about the process, and make sure you feel at ease before getting started.
2. Schedule your individual session!
At the end of our consultation, we’ll find a time that fits your schedule to begin meeting weekly. Regular sessions help to build consistency and get the support you need for your healing journey.
3. Begin healing!
In our weekly sessions, we’ll slow things down and make space to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts , emotions, and patterns - with compassion and curiosity, creating a space for understanding and growth.

My fee for services is $130 per 50-minute session. I have a limited amount of sliding scale slots. There is no guarantee that any of these will be available at the time you call. Please let me know if you need sliding scale fees during our call. If I cannot accommodate, I am happy to point you in a direction to meet your financial needs.

I am currently considered to be an out of network mental health provider.
I am happy to provide you a superbill each month to give to your insurance. Please check with your insurance about your out of network mental health benefits - many of my clients are able to get reimbursement from their insurance.
Why you should consider working with an “out of network” therapist:
No limitations on sessions. We can meet for as long as you need without having to worry if insurance will cut us off, or end coverage, which could abruptly end your care.
Allows me to offer you more flexible, personalized, and intentional care.
Helps me keep your information completely confidential, without needing to share diagnosis or notes with insurance companies.
Allows us to avoid surprise billing issues, which can lead to lapses in treatment.
Lets us focus on what’s best for you, not what insurance says is best for you!

I meet with clients once a week for a 50-minute session.
Research shows that weekly therapy is the most impactful. With this in mind, I ask that you commit to weekly sessions for the first 6 months of therapy to establish care and get the support you deserve. I reserve biweekly therapy appointments for those who are transitioning out of therapy.

In our first session, we will review intake paperwork together. We will talk about how you are feeling about starting the process, and we will collaborate on what feels important to you. The first few sessions may feel like a bit of story telling to catch me up on your history. I also work intentionally to check in and make sure that our work is still feeling like a good fit for you.
